The Sosa Family Trust commissioned Studio-RMA to create a concept design for a sustainable redwood forestry center with educational facilities. Westport Ranch is located on a 160 acres coastal lot 20 miles north of Fort Brags, Mendocino County, Northern California. The eco-friendly design will feature SCIP building technology. SUSTAINABLE DESIGN FOR A FOOD FRANCHISE
The outlet design for the 'Hula Mama Malasada' franchise prototype is fully recyclable, made of non-toxic materials and uses a maximum of renewable energy. The main product of the franchise is the is the famous Hawaiian Malasada based on a secret recipe of the Tex-Drive-In Malasada, brought to the Big Island by Earnest Texeira in 1944.

THE GLASS 'MOHALO PUA' BUILDING SURVIVES HAWAII QUAKE The Studio-RMA designed, full structural glass 'MOHALO PUA' building suffered no damage. Hit by the Quake with its 80 ft long glass ventilation louvers open it withstood the forces quite well; none of the glass panes were broken. The buildings design is based on a Dutch Commercial Greenhouse design, structurally upgraded to withstand the 180 miles hurricane forces and substantial quakes.

STUDIO-RMA STARTS WITH LAND PRESERVATION PROJECTS
The Studio has been commissioned to develop concepts for the Westport Ranch. This 200 acre coastal property is in Northern Mendocino County. The property includes redwood groves, coastal meadows, creeks and valleys, not to mention a coastal view. Part of the development will be restoring the Redwood Groves, so the trees can grow back to their full majesty. The property will also house a fully Eco-Friendly visitor center highlighting land conservation and redwood re-growth efforts on the Coast. The Studio is being contacted by neighboring large landowners who would like to share in the project.

STUDIO-RMA INVITED TO DESIGN FOR THE ICE HOTEL 2007, SWEDEN
This November the new IceHotel will be built 225km into the Arctic Circle, Sweden. Only ice, snow, reindeer hides and lighting are used to create the hotel. Each year 14 internationally known designers and artists are invited to design its famous suites. Studio-RMA's Jennifer Fulmer and Robert Mechielsen will be off to Sweden to create their magic in ice.

research and resources with the community. Our Eco-Library is now
open and available to the public. The Studio does not sell any product nor represent any dealers, we are simply sharing our information and inviting people to look at some alternative options that are available. |

ROBERT MECHIELSEN EXPLORES THE PYTHAGOREAN GEOMETRICS. Roberts research of Geometrics in the history of Architecture is coming to life in a very unusual Beverly Hills commission. Written by Robert himself he will run you through a Design Concept that is based on the Pythagorean Geometry of the Golden Mean. The hand drawings are by Robert, Jimmy Thomas is the lead designer, artistic support by Agnes Smith and Jennifer Fulmer.
