Originally based in Holland, Studio-RMA was established in Los Angeles in 1985.   In addition, the studio maintains offices in Dusseldorf, Germany.   

Designs have included private homes, restaurants, alternative healthcare and other commercial projects in the greater LA area, Hawaii, and Brazil.   Projects in the NY area have included MassMOCA with Joe Thompson and Tom Kranz of the Guggenheim.    

Studio-RMA entered the 21st Century with a substantial expansion into Eco Engineering.  The first Composite Concrete and SCIP designs emerge.  By integrating Eco Engineering into the Architecture at the start of projects  a 'greener', and more cost efficient design technique was developed.

International Design Consulting started on the ICEHOTEL in Sweden,  the Amsterdam Opera House, and the Royal Resort Resort in the Bahamas, by integrating cost efficient Eco Engineering and Architecture concepts.    

Our work in SCIP Buildings has resulted in 'Origami Engineering' .
